1. Our policy

Westminster Chariots may transport a passenger under 18 without an accompanying adult when the passenger's parent or legal guardian completes a written Guardian Authorization for that reservation and the trip can be performed safely and lawfully. When an adult travels with the minor, no Guardian Authorization is needed.

Any minimum age or route limit that applies to unaccompanied travel is shown during booking. If a trip falls outside those limits, please contact us and we will explain the options.

One Guardian Authorization may cover several named minors on the same reservation when the same parent or legal guardian authorizes all of them. Where different minors have different guardians, each guardian completes their own authorization for their own minors. Each authorization records exactly which minors it covers.

2. What the guardian provides

  • The full name and age of each minor passenger the authorization covers (taken from the passengers named on the reservation).
  • The guardian's full name, relationship to the minor, mobile number and e-mail.
  • An emergency contact who can be reached during the trip.
  • Optionally, the person who will see the minor off at pickup and the person who will meet the minor at the destination, with phone numbers.
  • Whether a child safety seat or booster will be brought. Westminster Chariots does not provide child safety seats or boosters.
  • Only if operationally necessary and voluntarily given: information the chauffeur needs to assist safely. We do not ask for diagnoses or medical records.

3. What the guardian confirms

By typing their name and submitting the authorization, the guardian confirms that:

  1. they are the minor's parent or legal guardian, or are otherwise legally authorized to approve this transportation;
  2. they authorize Westminster Chariots to transport the named minor or minors for the specified reservation;
  3. the trip and contact information is accurate;
  4. they and the emergency contact can be reached during the trip;
  5. they have told the person meeting the minor (if any) about the trip;
  6. they understand that Westminster Chariots does not provide child safety seats or boosters, and that they must supply any the minor needs;
  7. they accept the Terms & Conditions and this policy; and
  8. they consent to signing electronically.

4. During the trip

Dispatch and the chauffeur see that the reservation is a minor travel reservation and receive only the information needed to perform it safely (names, contacts and pickup and drop-off details). If something unexpected happens - for example no one meets the minor at the destination - the chauffeur and dispatch contact the guardian and emergency contact and act in the minor's safety interest.

The same conduct rules apply: no alcohol, smoking or vaping.

5. Privacy

Guardian Authorization data is used only to provide and document the trip, for safety, and to meet legal obligations. It is visible only to staff who need it and to the booking customer and guardian; it is not shown to other members of a business account, is never used for marketing and does not create an account for the minor. See the Privacy Policy.

6. Changes and revocation

A guardian may update or revoke an authorization before the trip by contacting info@westminsterchariots.com or (571) 426-6338. We keep the original and the change as a record. A trip without a valid authorization cannot be performed as an unaccompanied minor trip.
